Ginger Rice

Ingredients

  • 2.0 scallions (whites only)
  • 2.0 cloves garlic
  • 1.0 thumb ginger
  • 1.0 tablespoon butter
  • 0.5 unit chicken stock concentrate
  • 0.5 cup jasmine rice

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Melt 1 TBSP butter in a small pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Step 2: Add ginger, garlic, and scallion whites; cook until softened, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Add half the stock concentrate and ¾ cup water; bring to a boil.
  4. Step 4: Stir in rice, cover, and reduce heat to a gentle simmer.
  5. Step 5: Cook until rice is tender, about 15-18 minutes.
