- 1.0 tsp paprika (smoked)
- 0.5 tsp cumin (ground)
- 0.5 tsp chili flakes
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 lemon (juice)
- 150.0 g feta cheese
- 0.5 cup greek yogurt
- 2.0 tbsp hot honey
- 1.0 tbsp olive oil
- 1.0 clove garlic
- tbsp water (1–2 tbsp to adjust texture)
- 4.0 piece pita bread (warmed)
- 1.0 cup cherry tomato (halved)
- 1.0 piece cucumber (diced)
- 0.5 red onion (thinly sliced)
- 0.5 cup olive
- parsley (fresh, chopped)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, then incorporate the ground beef, cooking until browned and breaking it apart as it cooks. Season the meat with oregano, paprika, cumin, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking for 7–10 minutes until the beef is fully cooked and slightly crispy, then finish with a squeeze of lemon juice and mix well.
- In a blender, combine feta cheese, Greek yogurt, hot honey, olive oil, garlic, and water. Blend the mixture until it's smooth and creamy to create the garlic hot honey feta cream.
- Warm the pita breads to enhance their flexibility. Once warmed, fill each pita with the cooked ground beef, adding cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, olives, and parsley to taste.
- Drizzle the garlic hot honey feta cream generously over the filled pitas, and add extra hot honey if desired. Serve the pitas immediately for the best flavor and texture.
